Golf professional Yannik Paul narrowly missed out on winning the DP World Tour tournament just outside Paris.
On the par-71 course at Club Le Golf National, where the Olympic golf tournaments were also held in the summer, the Frankfurt native finished tied for second place with a total of 269 strokes. Dan Bradbury (England) needed one less stroke and bagged around 500,000 euros in prize money.
Paul only played a total of three bogeys on the four days of the tournament, made few mistakes and in the end narrowly missed the second tour victory of his career. From Thursday, the 30-year-old will start his next attempt at the Andalucia Masters in southern Spain.
